X1163 Projector shows smaller that computer screen image and creates horizontal scroll bar

I just purchased an Acer X1163 Projector to use in presentations. I like the brightness, size and some features. I am disappointed that to do a power point slideshow you need buy another remote, but that is an easy fix.

Here is what is really concerning me!

When I pull up a website or other things on my laptop for the presentation it has a horizontal scroll bar and does not fit it to the screen. I tried various settings and seeking an answer online, but cannot find what I can do to have the image show without a horizontal scroll bar.

I am almost beginning to panic as I bought this for a large presentation I need to give next week. I am hoping this is one of those dumb questions with an easy answer.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My techy buddy just called. Here is the solution. (It kills me when someone has a question posted and later says, "Nevermind, I figured it out" and never says how for the next person to come along.

The issue seems to be in the computer resolution setting and how it reset itself when plugging n the projector. To fix this (at least in windows 7) do the following:

    Right click the desktop

    Click Display

    Click Change Display Settings

    Select 1366x768 resolutions

It shows exactly what I am looking at now on my computer.

Thanks for having a forum available to ask anyway
