Hey!
So i have a problem... I never had this problem so far. What my problem is that i have a black screen. Not a dead one! A realy black screen where you are able to see 1% ,but its not enough to manage the mouse! The problem apeared a week ago and i was able to fix it with unpluging the power taking out the battery and stuff, but now it doesnt work! I tried like 10 times. The laptop works fine i mean you can hear it working and stuff and the only problem is the monitor which is pitch black. I dont know what to do. So when i was watching tv my laptop went to sleep mode like always, but after i moved the mouse and stuff the screen stayed black. So far its still black and i was unable to fix it. Can it be fixed without taking to repair? Is the monitor dead? Remember you can see like 1% its not totaly gone. I will be glad to get i quick answer because tomorow im heading to another country so if its the monitormand need repair i can take it with me. Smiley Happy
Thanks!

    Hello,

Black screen...sorry about that problem. You already did a power reset which fixed issue temporarily but now it is back if I understand you note correctly.

Seems like the unit will need to come in for repair might be wiring connection to the screen or MB. Might also be issue of unintentional damage to screen/lcd that, over time, affects the whole display.

I suggest you contact your local Acer service department to discuss with technician or set it up for repair with the fix my acer website.  Repairs in the USA take 7-10 days after unit reaches repair depot these times may vary in other places or countries.

I`am having the same problem. First I`ve thought the display might be faulty and I`ve bought a new one. Waste of money. Screen is still black. Well, 1% visible.

If you have a source of light behind the screen you can actually see everything very clearly.

So I am thinking maybe the problem is with the chip, wire, fuse that powers the screen neons.

Anyway, any information if you have I will be glad to try it in order to fix my laptop.

    Thank you
