New acer, tons of issues?

Hello members of  Acer!

I'm not even sure what category this belongs in but I'm at wits end of what to do especially because i'm not computer savvy and I'm hoping someone may have a guess as to what is going on. I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

I'm having numerous problems with my year old acer laptop. Here are a few:

1. The first thing that happened - It seems to be auto clicking even at start up. For example; if you were to power off your computer with the button and power back on - it will auto open 'start windows normally' take you to the login screen and try to force enter your password so that you get stuck on welcome screen over and over again. However, the only way to fix the auto clicking I found is by pressing shift key??

2. Recently a new problem developed where if I play any media (games, youtube etc) the computer will freeze for 2 seconds and make this awful buzzing noise from the speakers.

3. It used to have a flickering light in the screen but that seems to be fixed... for now.

4. Keyboard likes to type in random characters while I'm writing unless I press the shift key. For example; if I write "dog' it'd write "dFoRg" or something,

5. Sometimes when I log into my desktop, it'll stay all black for awhile with one single white arrow.

These are all tedious and annoying, I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it. At first, I assumed it was a virus / bad malware and I ran my anti-viruses and MBAM and nothing was detected.

Not knowing what to do, I factory reset my computer and that -did not- solve the issue.

I haven't re-installed my drivers, that's the next idea. When I look into device manager, there are no yellow signs or updates. They all say they are up to date. I'm afraid this might be a type of hardware issue but i'm not certain.

Any clue as to what is going on???

unfortunately my year warranty ended last month and so I'm screwed. Smiley Sad

    Hi mermaid!

It sounds as if you have a hardware issue with your laptop, possibly a motherboard fault. As it is out of warranty, take it to your local PC store for a check over.

On a side note: WHY do things go wrong just after the warranty expires?? It's like they know when to fail Smiley Frustrated

I see what you've tried to restore the system. Using the Acer recovery processes would automatically install working drivers (updated drivers on our website should only provide increased performance or functionality). Are you using the Acer recovery or are you installing a different version of Windows other that was originally shipped with the system?

Also, could you provide message me your Serial Number or SNID?

    Thanks,
    Cory

    Hello cory!

I used Acer Recovery to reset my system. I am not installing a different version of windows. I've left everything as is, from the beginning of my purchase as far as hard drives // windows are concerned. This literally happened over night. I shut off my computer using shut down as per usual and the next morning it began with these issues.

    My SNID is:  Smiley Happy
