Recommendations for Liquid E2 update

 Here is  a list of bugs and shortcomings in the present Firmware(Build number: Acer_AV061_V370_1.023.00_WW_GEN1) of the Liquid E2 Duo. If anyone have additional recommendations please add them.  

1)       The Phone Vibrates when the call you have placed is answered while the phone is next to ones ear. This should only happen when the phone is in hand. The proximity sensor output should inhibit this action when the phone is next to ones face.

2)      In the silent audio profile all forms of vibrate feedback should be disabled or an option must be available to inhibit all vibrate feedback.

3)      The the automatic brightness control is problematic in certain lightning conditions and even when the light source and phone is perfectly static the brightness constantly varies.

4)      Some GSM service providers gives free Wi-Fi data to their customers but to be able to benefit from this one must have a phone that supports Wi-Fi EAP-SIM  authentication, please provide this option.

 

I hope that the next update would address these problems and make it an even better device.

    Camera app is little slow. When I try other camera apps I can say its way better than stock.

    Also include a setting on wifi for changing wifi area.

    I would like to have the multiple user accounts option android tablets have on my phone.

    The E2 Stock ROM does not contain multilanguage, which is a big missing. I did not understand why Acer did such a differantiation for E2 stok Rom. I can be living in Central Europe, Indonesia or in US but my main language can be different. 

     

    Is it really difficult to add multilanguage for the next update?

     

    I registered to this forum, only for typing this problem but I am not sure if Acer will read this comment and make the phone multilanguage.

    1. Allow landscape mode in home screen, so I can use my phone as nightclock while charging

    2. Recovery menu in english please

    A warning should be given that the phone does not support transferring apps to sd card

    The 4.2.2 firmware does support copying apps to the SD card.

    I used the CLOCk app, chose SETTINGS, chose NIGHT and it works in landscape and dimmed.

    I guess that works fine, but when I try to use the clock under the 'daydream' settings it does not rotate to landscape, and assume it takes its aspect from the homescreen?

    Does yours rotate to landscape using the daydream option when charging?

    For those who suffered from the same limited menu language problem, an app named morelocale2 converts the phone in to the desired language. You can download it from;

    I just received new firmware for my E2 Duo

    Build number: Acer_AV061_V370_1.030.00_WW_GEN1

    Does anybody know what changed?

    For update:

     

    possibility to enlarge internal storage vs phone storage now i only have 900MB in Internal storage for apps and cache because system takes 1.45Gb

     

    Pictures and music are stored on the SD card  phone storage isn't used (1.65Gb)
