Well, Windows 8.1 starts rolling out today and tomorrow will be available for all user.

Where is the Acer Driver for W510 ?

When I tried to install W8.1 RTM I had a lot of problems with graphics driver.

Acer told me that driver will be available for the lunch of 8.1.

I really hope that my W510 does not stop work after update.

I have been running 8.1 WTG with the Acer drivers since the RTM was released some time ago. I have had no graphics problems. What is your issue ? If I can I'll try to duplicate.

Hi, goto the Acer drivers site and download the drivers for the W3 tablet dated Oct 13. Run these over the latest W510 drivers and you will be good to go !

I don't see drivers for W3 form Oct. 13. Latest are from Oct. 4th. I'm looking at the US web site. Am I doing something wrong?

I  have graphics driver issues when returning from sleep.

first it seems not to be able to wake up, then when it does after a couple of tries,

there is a message saying the graphics driver crashed.

I installed w 8.1 and the graphics update from windows update

to be fair, it does not always happen.

so sometimes it does not wake up when pressing the power button.

it happened two or three times since installing 8.1 yesterday evening

    Here the same problem.

If it is in sleep mode and i push the power button it takes about 5 to 8 seconds till the lockscreen appears.

This occures in 95% of all tries. And seldom there are only black and white bars on the screen.

If the bars appear i have to push the power button again to turn of the screen and than again to wake up which takes then again 5 to 8 seconds till the lockscreen appears.

I think there is a problem with the graphic driver, so ACER when do we get that fixed?

I have a solution to the problem.
I have Install Driver Package acer 3.00 (Windows 8.1 64 bit)
Although my acer W510 is a 32 bit.(updating the bios)
    After I reinstall driver Acer2.2 (windows 8 32bit)
    This all works fine.

    Hi guys,

i have found a solution which works for me.

Just use the acer live updater (should be pre installed if not google helps)

First connect your tablet with the keyboard and then plug in the power.

Start the Live Updater there should be a Update available install it.

In my case: during the installation the display turned on and off. Further the screen was black but not turned off in this case push the power button and the screen comes back.

Last you have to restart your tablet.

Worked for me, no slow after sleep and no black/white stripes.

I hope this works for everyone of you

new drivers are under "windows 8.1 64 bit"

are they the right driver? only a name error?

I have suggested that Acer provide both a meaningful readme and a checksum to verify downloads before. It has not happened.

The video for both a W3 and a W510 seems to be an Intel GMA 3650 but Intel says that drivers have to come from the tablet manufacturer.

All clover trail devices use only 32 bit (x86) OSs. I would not load a 64 bit (x64) driver. The support page downloads make no sense to me and I'd rather mot brick either of mine since I pay for them.

That said one of the W3 sets may be for both Others_Acer_2.0_W8x86W81x64_A.zip but that is very confused naming - sounds like Win 8 for x86 and win 8.1 for x64.

I've just installed the 64 bit driver "Others_Acer_3.00_W81x64_A" but it also doesn't work. But if it were a 64 bit driver you should not be able to install it on a 32 bit device.

Update: I've called the support hotline and reported the problem. The problem was not known to the support hotline, so he couldn't help me. But he said that this is a driver problem that should be fixed in a few weeks.
