    Hi @Zainwains

On Snapdragon‑based Swift models, this camera error can usually be fixed without manual driver installs:

    • Option 1 – Quick reset:
      1. Open Device Manager → expand Cameras.
      2. Right‑click the Snapdragon camera → choose Uninstall device.
      3. Restart the laptop — Windows will auto‑reinstall the working component.
    • Option 2 – In‑place recovery via Windows Update: This repairs system components without deleting your files.Follow Microsoft’s step‑by‑step guide (see link below): Fix issues by reinstalling the current version of Windows.

Avoid manually installing camera drivers — the default Windows‑supplied package is the one tested to work on this platform.

    mportant clarification on recovery methods:

The In-place Recovery via Windows Update is not the same as the older “Reset this PC” option.

    • Reset this PC often reinstalls Windows from a local image and may remove apps or drivers.
    • In-place Recovery uses the latest Windows Update files to repair system components without deleting your files or apps. It’s a non-destructive reinstall that preserves your setup while fixing broken modules—like the camera stack on Snapdragon models.

Please confirm: did you follow the exact steps from Microsoft’s guide here?🔗 Fix issues by reinstalling the current version of Windows

If not, I recommend trying that method before any manual driver installs. It’s the most reliable fix for this platform.
