Hi, so I got the new A317-55p and I installed the SSD from my old Aspire 3 laptop and changed the boot settings in the BIOS and it booted up perfectly to my old documents / programs, except for one flaw the touch pad is not working. I have disabled it and re-enabled it on the keyboard. The keyboard is working fine but still no luck on the touch pad. I tried to get into device manager and down to the mouse to see if there’s a driver issue but it won’t let me navigate down. Is there anything else it could be?

    • Function Keys: Many Acer laptops have a dedicated key (often Fn + F7 or Fn + F6, or just F6/F7) to enable/disable the touchpad. Look for a key with a touchpad icon (a hand with a finger pointing).
    • BIOS/UEFI Settings: If the function key method doesn't work, check the BIOS/UEFI settings. You may need to enter BIOS (usually by pressing F2 or Del during startup) and navigate to the touchpad settings (often under "Main" or "Advanced"). Ensure the touchpad is set to "Basic" or "Enabled".
    • Restart: After enabling, restart your computer to apply the changes.

I can get into device manager using the keypad but it won’t let me update or switch the WiFi/internet on it’s not giving me an option
