I did update the BIOS:
BIOS Version/Date Insyde Corp. V1.13, 7/4/2025

And my AcerSense is also up-to-date. Installed it from from the ms store:

    Hi @jermadid711 ,

Thanks for reporting the issue with AcerSense not detecting battery settings on your Swift 3 SF314-43-R0AB.

⚙️ Why the 80% Battery Limit Option Is Missing

    With your setup:

    • BIOS Version: Insyde Corp V1.13 (7/4/2025)
    • AcerSense: v5.0.1819 from the Microsoft Store
    • OS: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 (Build 19044)

The 80% battery limit feature previously found in older Acer Care Center builds is no longer available. Acer's newer EC firmware and AcerSense updates have deprecated that toggle entirely—there is no hidden setting or workaround within official tools.

✅ Recommended Setup for LTSC Use

    You’re safe to:

    • Leave the AC adapter plugged in 24/7. The embedded controller will stop charging once the battery is full.
    • Trust EC logic. The system now handles battery health and charge flow dynamically, without user intervention.

🚫 Why You Shouldn't Force a Manual Cap

Attempting third-party charge limits or registry tricks could:

    • Conflict with embedded controller behavior
    • Introduce BIOS/EC confusion or false battery readings
    • Break compatibility with future AcerSense or firmware updates

and last but no least, you will reduce the battery backup with one hour if you cap the charge to 80%, defeating the whole purpose of a mobile device that requires maximum battery backup for emergencies. 😉

    Potential reasons for the issue:-
Outdated or conflicting software: This can include Windows updates, AcerSense itself, or other third-party battery management tools.
Missing or outdated drivers: Especially those related to battery management, graphics, and CPU.
Incomplete AcerSense installation or corrupted files: Sometimes the application might not be installed correctly, causing errors.
Model-specific limitations: Some newer Acer models might not support the battery limit feature through AcerSense, or the option might be located differently.

    Troubleshooting steps:-
Restart your laptop: This simple step can sometimes resolve minor software glitches.
    Ensure all software is updated:
Windows: Install all available Windows updates, including optional updates.
AcerSense: Download and install the latest version of AcerSense for your specific model from the Acer support website.
Drivers: Update all necessary drivers, including those related to battery management, graphics, and CPU. These can also be found on the Acer support website.
Check for and uninstall conflicting software: Look for and remove any third-party optimization apps or battery management tools that might be interfering with AcerSense.

Reinstall AcerSense: If updating doesn't help, try uninstalling AcerSense completely and then reinstalling the latest version from the Acer support website. You can find the steps to do so in these search results.
Check AcerSense for the battery limit setting:-
Open AcerSense. Navigate to "Personal Settings". Look for "Battery & USB Charging".
If available, toggle the switch for "Optimized Battery Charging" to limit the charge or "Full Battery Charging" to allow charging to 100%.
