Yes, the Acer Swift SF14-11T model does have a fingerprint option

I was able to fix my fingerprint option after a Windows update by downloading a solution. It worked for me, but I would advise doing it with caution..Use the below link and search for - "Fix fingerprint device lost after windows update"

Its a BIOS update - Exercise more caution

If the fingerprint scanner on your Acer 14 AI laptop is not working, begin by restarting your device, as this can often resolve temporary glitches. If the issue persists, try updating the fingerprint reader driver, potentially by downloading the latest version from Acer's support website. Cleaning the fingerprint sensor with a soft cloth and alcohol may also improve recognition. If these steps don't work, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the fingerprint reader driver, or even trying a full system reset if necessary.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
    1. Restart your laptop:
A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches that may be affecting the fingerprint reader.
    2. Check for driver updates:
Go to Acer's support website and download the latest fingerprint reader driver for your specific model. Install the driver and see if the issue is resolved.
    3. Clean the sensor:
Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with alcohol to gently clean the fingerprint reader. This can remove any dirt or smudges that may be interfering with recognition.
    4. Uninstall and reinstall the driver:
If updating the driver doesn't help, try uninstalling the current driver in Device Manager and then reinstalling it. You can find instructions on how to do this online.
    5. Check for BIOS settings:
Some laptops have an option to enable or disable the fingerprint sensor in the BIOS. If this is the case, ensure it's enabled. If it's already enabled, try disabling it, restarting, and then re-enabling it.

What is the exact model of your Acer 14 AI, is it an Aspire or a Swift laptop or what? If the fingerprint reader is part of the power button then follow the eManual for your model Acer 14 AI, otherwise the sensor is faulty and needs to be changed or if your laptop is under the Acer warranty send your latop to Acer tech support in your country to be fixed under warranty. Good luck.

The Acer Swift SF14-11 or the SF14-11T models do not have a fingerprint reader on the touchpad or the power key, that is why you can't set it up😁

If your Acer Swift had a fingerprint reader it would be together with the power key #6 below, as on the Swift laptops that is how the fingerprint reader is setup. So below is the Swift SF14-11 and SF14-11T model keyboard and it does NOT have a fingerprint reader.

    Its not included in the official Acer Swift SF14-11T model service manual, 2024/06/18 Swift SF14-11 - SF14-11T - SFG14-01 - Bluetang_SX1 (KH4I0)_SG-20241122 or the Swift SF14-11 - SF14-11T - SFG14-01B - luetang_SX1 (KH4I0)_SG-20240812, as that is what I'm going by and from.

If the Swift SF14-11-X125 mode manual does show a setup instructions, for supports Windows Hello fingerprint authentication, then this model must have been released after 2024/11/22 and when the above service guides were last updated, so its my mistake.

As I know that the majority of the Swift laptops do have this fingerprint security login feature, that I've also got on my Swift SFX14-51G laptop which its fingerprint feature is part of the power button. But imo this security feature of logging into your laptop from what I've heard, is not reliable and can give problems, so be careful as you can be locked out of your laptop as sometimes the reader does not read your fingerprint, and its a bit extreme to use this type of security as its really a corporate security thing, as its allot simpler to just have a 4 digit login pin, which I've used since windows first introduced them and I've never ever had any problems, why change something that aint broke???😁
