I really enjoy using my two Acer Predator monitors (XB237U), but there is something that has been bothering me massively since the beginning.
Every time I start the PC with Windows, I have to manually switch on the lighting in the “RGB Light Sense”.
Conversely, when shutting down, I have to switch it off manually, otherwise the lighting remains on in standby.

Is there any way to automate this as with the other manufacturers? (Asus, Corsair... etc.)

That would be great. Thanks for your answers.

best regards

There is no such model as the Predator XB237U monitor, did you mean the Predator XB273U as there is such an Acer monitor, if it is then and unfortunately, these monitors power is independently switched on/off within the monitors as the OS does not turn them off automatically, so you are stuck with this feature. Good luck.

You’re not alone—this is a common issue with the XB237U. Unfortunately, Acer’s RGB Light Sense doesn’t currently support automation at startup or shutdown. One workaround is to set up a Windows task using a script to launch the Light Sense app at startup, but full automation (like auto-off on shutdown) isn’t officially supported yet. Hopefully, future firmware or software updates add this feature.
