Hey @tarahman — if you haven’t already tried this, you might want to disable Performance Boost Mode in Windows to reduce CPU temps and stabilize fan behavior:

🛠️ How to Disable CPU Boost via Power Settings

    1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.
    2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\be337238-0d82-4146-a960-4f3749d470c7
    3. Double-click Attributes and change its value from 1 to 2.
    4. Open Edit Power PlanChange advanced power settings.
    5. Under Processor power management, expand Processor Performance Boost Mode.
    6. Set both On battery and Plugged in to Disabled.
    7. Apply and reboot.

This keeps your CPU at base frequency, which can drastically reduce heat and fan spikes — especially helpful on Nitro models with aggressive boost behavior

That is not a software issue, its a hardware issue and the fan plug or mobo trace is broken and that is why the fan is not spinning or the fan is faulty/ Is your gpu working, let us kmow and the exact model of your laptop and we will be able to give you the cpy/gpu fan part numbers. Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Most of the users with Acer Nitro are facing similar issues after the previous BIOS update. However, I will try this method and let you know.

@StevenGen Hey, thanks for your kind reply, but if you simply type "GPU Fan not working" you will find a lot of Acer users with the Nitro model facing the same issue. Earlier I also thought that it must be some hardware issue, but yesterday we got BIOS update mentioning EC fix or something, but still facing the fan is not working. I have Acer Nitro ANV15-51.
