Hey @mhassan — thanks for confirming the battery report. Since Windows says “No batteries are currently installed,” and you’ve already tried resetting via the pinhole and reinstalling drivers, here are some deeper causes to consider:

    🧠 Possible Causes Beyond BIOS

    1. Loose Battery Connector
      • The internal battery may be physically disconnected or poorly seated. If you're comfortable opening the back panel, check the battery cable connection to the motherboard. Otherwise, a technician can inspect it.
    2. Battery Board or Embedded Controller (EC) Failure
      • If the EC isn’t detecting the battery, Windows will report it as missing. This could be a fault in the power delivery circuit or the battery board itself.
    3. Windows 11 24H2 Upgrade Quirk
      • If your system was upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 via in-place update, it may have broken battery detection. A clean install of 24H2 has resolved similar issues for other Aspire 7 users.
    4. Acer UX Bloatware Interference
      • Check if Acer User Experience Improvement Program or Care Center is installed. These can interfere with battery telemetry. Uninstalling them is safe and often helpful.
    5. CMOS Battery or EC Reset Needed
      • If the EC is stuck, a full power drain (remove charger, hold power button for 60 seconds) or CMOS reset might help. There’s a guide for accessing the CMOS battery on similar Aspire 7 models.
      • Power drain + CMOS reset: Open the back of the laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black under the battery) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- terminals inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds and remove the RAM modules, either replace a RAM module or firmly reseat the modules back in the slots, after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the adapter and try to boot.

    ✅ Suggested Next Steps

    • Check for physical battery connection (or have a technician do it)
    • Uninstall Acer UX and Care Center apps
    • If you're on Windows 11 24H2, consider a clean install
    • Try a full EC reset: unplug charger, hold power button for 60 seconds, then plug back in and boot

Uninstall and Reinstall Battery Driver: In Device Manager, uninstalling the battery driver and restarting the computer might force Windows to reinstall it automatically.

Thank you for your response i try to clean Windows 11 24H2 and install another windows version,

the good news are the battery work without charger plugging in but the laptop dos not start without charger and the battery dos not charge,

after install drivers for the new windows and get some updates ((Windows 11 Version 23H2)) the problem repeated again and the laptop can not start or work with battery (without charger).
