Dear All,

I am writing to report an issue with my Acer Aspire Lite 16, where adjusting the brightness from 100% to 99% causes the display to become completely dim; I can only restore visibility by shining my smartphone flashlight on the screen and pressing Fn+F3 to increase brightness, but I need to reduce the brightness below 55% or 30% to protect my eyes, so please address this issue as soon as possible.

Hi GHULSAR, if you haven’t done a full Reset or clean install yet, you might want to try Microsoft’s In-Place Repair method. It reinstalls your current version of Windows while keeping your files, apps, and settings intact.

    🛠️ Steps:

    1. Go to Settings > System > Recovery
    2. Under Fix problems using Windows Update, click Reinstall now
    3. Follow the prompts—Windows will download a repair version of your OS and reinstall it
    4. Your PC may restart automatically or ask you to do so manually

💡 This method is safe and non-destructive. It’s ideal for fixing system file corruption, failed updates, or display issues like the one you described.

You can find Microsoft’s official guide here. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-issues-by-reinstalling-the-current-version-of-windows-497ac6da-7cac-4641-82a5-f50398d879a0

Let us know how it goes!

When I reduce my display brightness from 100% to 99%, the screen goes completely dim as if the display light is off, despite the program still running, and using a flashlight on the screen doesn't help me confirm it's active; this issue persists across Windows 10 and Windows 11, so how can I resolve it?

I purchased my Acer device in the United Arab Emirates, but when I tried to register it in the warranty section, my country isn't listed, and I'm completely fed up with Acer's service.

I'm extremely disappointed with Acer's service, warranty, and technical support; as a customer, I'll never buy an Acer laptop again, having lost nearly two weeks dealing with an unresolved display dim issue, which I'll post about on social media in the coming days.
