so for the last 3 days this random flashing started happening on the monitor but after like 10-15 minutes it would start working. today on the other hand the flashing is non stop and my pc isnt detecting the monitor whatsoever.

i plugged both the Display Port cable and the power cable from the xv272u into the other monitor i have and it works just fine.

any idea on how i can fix this issue or is the monitor just broken?

It sounds like your Acer XV272U monitor is likely broken. Since you've confirmed both the DisplayPort and power cables work with another monitor, and the flashing is now constant with no detection by your PC, it strongly suggests an internal hardware failure within the XV272U itself. Unfortunately, if it's not detected at all, there are very few user-serviceable fixes for this type of issue.

The Acer Nitro XV272U monitor experiencing random flashing and not being detected by the PC likely has a hardware issue. Since you've confirmed that the cables and power source are not the problem, it strongly suggests the monitor itself is faulty.

Here's a breakdown and potential troubleshooting steps:
    1. Confirm the issue is with the monitor:
    Test with another PC:
If possible, connect the monitor to a different computer to see if the problem persists. This will help isolate whether the issue is with your PC or the monitor.
    Check the OSD:
If the monitor has an On-Screen Display (OSD) menu, try accessing it. If you see the OSD flickering or it's not displayed, it's a strong indication of a hardware problem with the monitor.
    Try different input:
If the monitor has multiple inputs (e.g., DisplayPort, HDMI), try switching between them to see if the problem is specific to one input.
    2. Potential Causes and Troubleshooting (if the monitor is the issue):
    Internal Power Supply:
A failing power supply within the monitor can cause random flashing and loss of signal.
    Hardware Failure:
The flashing could be due to a failing backlight, internal circuitry, or other components within the monitor.
