I am trying to control my fans, but my Nitro sense started to glitch (you could not control the fans), so I've restarted my laptop, still was unable to control them, so now I've uninstalled nitro sense, and then ive tried to install it but, it doesn't even try to install, the setup.exe does not do anything, so the Msi cannot do anything either

and I tried to get a new nitro sense, but the SerialNumberDetectionTool.exe does not work (if you click the .exe it does not do anything) on this laptop despite working months ago, did my laptop just break because of that one Nitro sense glitch?

what do I do now?

To get the NitroSense app, you need to look at the number of your Nitro laptop under the laptop on the back sticker, your Nitro has a number like AN515-xx for the older Nitro 5 or new the Nitro ANV15-xx or ANV16-xxetc

After that, go to the Acer Drivers and Manuals page and type the exact Nitro model number that you have and open the page, then in the Applications section there will be the NitroSense app for your Nitro laptop, download and install that software. If the NitroSense doesn't install or work. go to this page att "What to Do if NitroSense Software Will Not Start" and follow this guide to make it work. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

If NitroSense isn't controlling fan speed on your Acer Nitro, the issue could stem from a few things. First, ensure NitroSense is installed and up-to-date, and also check for Windows updates. If it's still not working, try resetting BIOS to default settings, or resetting the Embedded Controller (EC) firmware. You might also need to update the Acer System Interface driver or roll it back if it was recently updated via Windows Update.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    1. Check for Basic Issues:
    Installation and Updates:
Make sure NitroSense is installed and that you have the latest version from the Acer support website. Also, ensure Windows is up-to-date, as updates can sometimes resolve driver conflicts.
    Windows Power Settings:
Verify that fast startup is disabled in your power settings, as this can sometimes interfere with Nitro Sense.
    2. Troubleshooting Steps: Reset BIOS:
Access your BIOS settings (usually by pressing F2 or Del during startup) and reset it to default settings. This can help resolve custom fan control settings that may be conflicting.
    Reset EC Firmware:
Shut down your laptop completely, unplug the power adapter, and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, plug the adapter back in and boot normally. This can help reset the embedded controller, which manages fan control.
    Acer System Interface Driver:
In Device Manager, locate the Acer System Interface driver (or ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller). If it was recently updated via Windows Update, try rolling back the driver. Alternatively, reinstall the latest version from the Acer support site.
