Hi I am Arpan, basically few days ago my laptop was running well and suddenly one day it was idle on windows desktop with no work running either in the foreground and background, the laptop shuts itself off with a click sound, and tries to turn on by itself, but it failed to start and post….The power light glows up, the battery light glows up while charging as usual but the hdd light glows for about 3 seconds after I press the power button but then turns off and doesn't glow up any more….The keyboard backlight is on, but caps lock is not responding….the screen's backlight is on….usually when the laptop was running well, the wireless switch light used to glow, but it doesn't glow anymore…..

I tried replacing ram, hdd and SSD,ss power supply, tried running without the battery, removed all usb peripheral devices but no sign of life….Also whenever I press the power button now, it starts but don't post shut itself off after 3 seconds, again turns on shuts with a click sound after some seconds and again turns on for the third and last time but again it turns itself off……

Can anyone help me to fix this up?

Those types of symptoms can often be traced to a corrupted BIOS. When the laptop is powered on one of the first th8ings that happens is the BIOS is copied to memory, then executed to start POST. You don't tell us what laptop you have, which is why there have been no responses so far. If yours has a CMOS battery, try removing it, waiting overnight then putting a new one in. If it starts to boot enter the BIOS and do a reset to defaults before trying to load the OS.

Sorry, I have a lot less time these days to monitor the forums. There are five different P645 model lines, the M, S, V, MG and SG. In those model lines there will be hundreds of different SKUs, depending on what was loaded from the factory for things like CPU, memory, storage, color, language, etc.. I looked at the P645-M model, a laptop from 2017, on that version there is a jumper to clear the CMOS:

With the battery disconnected, short the two pads together and leave them shorted for a little while. Then go back to normal, reassemble and try again.

I tried desoldering and plugging a new cmos battery to the logic board, it didn't have any effect, still I will try that....

Also a similar kind of event took place a year ago, but I fixed it myself, actually I opened my laptop to add a SSD,and somehow I managed to short out the fingerprint connector, which prevented the laptop from booting....As soon as I reconnected the ffc cale, it booted without any issue, this time I have already tried disconnecting all the ffcs from the main board but still no booting
