Hello, I'm trying to set up my kid's Chromebook Plus 514, and am getting an error message saying it is unable to install Google Play. I've tried doing all of the suggested things on Google's support, but am still getting the message. Is this an incompatibility issue with Acer Chromebook? Has anyone else had this issue or know how to install it? Thanks!

Do a clean install of the Chrome OS as the Acer Chromebook Plus 514 laptops are all compatible with the Google Chrome OS and its apps, as the Google paly that is a Chrome app should install properly. Acer does not have detailed advice on the Chrome OS, as you need to consult Google for all technical support and why this app doesn't install. Good luck.

When a Chromebook goes out of support from Google, they disable support for the Play Store and Android apps. Check on Google's site to see when the support for your specific model of 514 goes away. There have been a lot of different ones over the years…
