I am experiencing an issue with the GPU on my ANV15-41 laptop. Two days ago, while playing Marvel Rivals with a friend, the game abruptly closed after the match ended, and a prompt appeared stating that the GPU had crashed. The game suggested clearing redundant files, which I did using the game’s own application to remove local redundant files.

I did not play again until yesterday, when I started Hitman. I noticed a significant drop in FPS compared to the previous times I played the game and opened NitroSense, where I saw that the dedicated GPU was turned off. I then went to the Device Manager and re-enabled the GPU, but the issue persisted. I attempted several troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the GPU drivers, clearing the shader cache, performing a clean driver installation, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the device via the Device Manager.

Currently, the laptop is only utilizing the integrated graphics provided by the CPU, rather than the dedicated GPU. While the GPU shows as connected, it does not allocate VRAM for some applications. For those applications that do use VRAM, the usage does not exceed 1GB, and the GPU utilization remains below 20%. I also checked the BIOS, but unfortunately, my laptop’s BIOS does not display any display settings, which complicates the troubleshooting process.

I have tried all available solutions, but the problem remains unresolved. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Update:

I have reinstalled the integrated graphics, and the GPU is now functioning properly. However, it is not exceeding 40-60% utilization, which may be due to the game not being particularly demanding. I have not experienced any stuttering or FPS drops. If this is not the case, I would appreciate any further suggestions. Nonetheless, the initial issue of the GPU not functioning at all has been resolved. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for reaching out to assist with the issue.

I have already attempted the first suggestion you provided; however, it did not resolve the problem, despite the system indicating that it is connected to the GPU. To troubleshoot further, I reinstalled the chipset drivers, performed a DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode, and then reinstalled the latest drivers. Unfortunately, these steps did not yield any improvement.

The issue began following a GPU crash, but aside from that event, there have been no other significant changes that could have caused such a substantial hardware problem. The system’s temperatures remain within normal ranges, and the power supply is the same as it was prior to the issue.

I appreciate your suggestion regarding the 4090, though it is beyond my current scope. Thank you for bringing it up, nonetheless. Additionally, as this is a new laptop, just under two months old, I do not believe the issue is related to hardware aging.

Once again, thank you for your time and efforts in trying to resolve this matter.
