when I open the game, my laptop doesn't charge. and I had to re-plug my adapter. but if I don't play games, uses such as browsing and watching videos, the charger is safe.

Has anyone experienced something similar like me?

what should I change?

I requested service on June 30 2025 and the mobo was replaced. the same problem repeats itself, what should I do?

The battery Nitro v16 and v15 laptops are known to crash whenever in intense and prolonged gaming and when its 135W adapter requires additional power from the battery, this is a design fault. But seeing that Acer has changed your old mobo to a new mobo there is nothing else that can be done, as its not anything to do with the circuitries that are faulty. The symptoms of the battery disconnecting when you start to play games is a new symptom that hasn't come up with the Nitro V15.

The only thing that you can do is to do a hard Reset by first pressing the power key to release all power from the laptop, then taking the main battery out and disconnecting the bios battery and then short the bios battery mobo plug +&- pins to reset the CMOS, then leave the laptop like that for 15min so that its EC and Chipset and bios chips reset and then replace all the components and see if the battery keeps charging when you start to play games. So try all that out and let us know, good luck.

My laptop is still under warranty, should I just go to the service center?
Opening the seal breaks the warranty, doesn't it?
because it is far away I haven't had time to go there

If your Acer Nitro is still under warranty, it's best not to open the seal or back panel yourself, as doing so may void the warranty—especially if there's a “warranty void if removed” sticker near any screws.

    is this normal?

It depends on how old your V15 laptop is, as a normal battery wear per year should be at around 15% to its design charged capacity, so if your Nitro V15 is less than 1 year old and only like 6 months old a 17% wear rate like its showing in the caption above, is a high wear rate and should not be happening if your laptop is always plugged into its adapter and the mains power and kept on 100% charge all the time.
