    Your Aspire 3 (A315-21) features an М.2 2280 NVMe PCIe slot and a 2.5-inch SATA-3 HDD/SSD slot it can accomodate M.2's

my god thanks for replyng. so what do you recommend Should i get an M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA bcuz the price difference between these technologies in my country is small

also, can i only get ssd's from the brands mentioned above or can i buy from different brand

i asked it because from the table mentioned above i have that WD HDD 1TB 5200rpm with the same model number preinstalled when i bought it .

But how do I know which gen NVME to go with there is nothing mentioned anywhere.

Also does the max capacity it supports is 256gb.

I googled the SSD's with their model number all the results came up was of SATA M.2 ones nothing came from NVME side. Are you it will support an NVME.

This model supports M.2 SATA SSD, not PCIe. The capacity is unlimited. Some M.2 SATA SSD models I can recommend are Samsung 860 EVO, WD Blue SATA M.2, Kingston, or you can search the available M.2 SATA SSDs in your location and post those on here.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

@AnhEZ28 what about the ram? There is an additional slot my current ram memory is clocked at 800mhz

but i found out that it supports 1200mhz or something in an web page . i checked bios there is no option to run it an higher speed may be it only supports 800mhz . i dont know

i am currently looking to upgrade its ram also it supports total of 12GB .The system already has 4Gb ddr4 ram soldered to the motherboard .i am confused what pair of ram should i buy max out the system using an 8GB ddr4 stick or use an 4GB ddr4 stick .

isnt getting an 4GBddr4 ram stick better so that it can work in dual channel mode but doesnt the capacity, speed, and timings of the ram match with the already installed ram that it came with .
