I am using an Acer Swift SFG14-41 laptop. After performing a system update yesterday, the touchpad has stopped working completely.

I have already checked the Device Manager and confirmed that the ELAN I2C Filter Driver is present and showing as "working properly." I also tried basic troubleshooting steps like enabling the touchpad from Windows settings and BIOS, but the issue persists.

Could you please help me resolve this issue or provide the correct touchpad driver for my model?

Hi, recover your system using the new Windows "In Place repair" feature (see pictures). You won't lose any data or programs.

The SFG14-41 models came with two different types of touchpads, but Elantech and Synopsis. Verify first which you have before trying drivers.

Visit the Acer Support page for SFG14-41 and download the latest Windows 11 64-bit Touchpad driver (ELAN or Synaptics). Open Device Manager, locate the touchpad under Human Interface Devices and uninstall it. Restart your laptop and manually install the new driver. Enter BIOS by pressing F2 during startup. Ensure the Touchpad setting is configured to Advanced. Check if the touchpad responds after boot
