Hello,

I own an Acer Aspire Z3-711 (SNID: XXXXXXXXXXXX, Serial Number: DQB0AEF001XXXXXXXXXXXX).

I’m experiencing UEFI compatibility issues with Windows Boot Manager and would like to reinstall the original BIOS (version R01-A0 or R01-A2, preferably in the 6 MB format).

Unfortunately, the Acer support website no longer provides any BIOS files for this model.

Could you please provide the factory BIOS, or a compatible version for this motherboard revision?

Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.

Acer stops support for products older than 7 years but there are other sites that store these oem drivers like HelpDrivers so use this link for the Z3-711 drivers. I've included the bios version R01-A2 which is the last version and its a legit file, read the Appendix folder PDF guide of how to flash the bios properly, as on this site some downloaded files are also viruses, so you need to be careful. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Thank you very much for your help and the BIOS file.

Unfortunately, I’ve already tried this exact R01-A2 BIOS version (size: 1,677,216 bytes), but it seems incompatible with my motherboard's original BIOS chip, which is only 6 MB (my backup.rom is 6,144 KB). When I try to flash it, I get an error:
"ERROR: ROM file size does not match existing BIOS size"

I'm currently searching specifically for the original R01-A0 BIOS version in 6 MB format, which was pre-installed on this Acer Aspire Z3-711 (SNID 53901109630). It seems that version was never made publicly available for download.

If you have access to archived Acer service files or tools used by repair technicians, any help in retrieving the original 6MB BIOS would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your time and support!

For that initial Acer Z3-711 AIO bios version, you need to enquire at Acer Tech Support in your country and get them to either provide this version for you or take your AIO Z3-711 to them so that they can update your motherboard for you.

Or go on the net and search specialist bios sites if they can provide this bios version for you or another good place is at Discord Electronic Repair School (join if you are not a member) as it consist of enthusiasts that can provide versions files for bios, EC, gpu firmware etc, so search there or enquire there for the R01-A0 BIOS, as I've got allot of firmware for old laptops and desktops bios, gpu's and EC chip programmes and advice from there. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

I tried contacting Acer support directly, but the official email addresses are either unresponsive or no longer active. Is there a way a moderator or Acer technician could escalate the request internally?
