Hi,

I have ( JBL GO 3 ) external speaker connected to my Acer Aspire A514-55G-7116 ( Win11 Pro - 24H2 - 26100.4484 ) ( NX.K5FEM.004 ) via Bluetooth.

I bought the speaker 4 months ago and was working perfectly since then, suddenly yesterday, sound stopped working, I checked for the situation and I found it connected by Bluetooth without problems but no sound out at all, I checked for sound settings , I found it on the list of sound devices and connected to my laptop as default speaker, everything is OK except NO SOUND AT ALL! I tried to connect it to another laptop I have, it worked perfectly, I connected it to my mobile phone, also worked perfectly, I tried to solve this problem since yesterday by all suggested ways I have found in the net but useless! Is there any one can help me in that ? any ideas ? suggestions ?

Hi @MrMughari The first thing you should check is that this speaker is configured as the main one, that is, in the list of speakers that can be used in the equipment, make sure it is selected:

Also check that the volume level on the speaker itself is at maximum:

    Hi Alejandro,

Thanks for your contribution, unfortunately, I did all of these steps already but didn't work.

I'll take my laptop to Acer service center to check if there is Software problem or Hardware problem.

    Regards,,,

If you connect another BT device, does it work?
Does the device have sound when playing YouTube, for example?
If it works under these conditions, it may be a configuration issue, not a problem with the device.

Yes, I'm connecting BT mouse and it working well, also the speaker itself is connected by BT but the problem was " No sound out ", anyway, the problem is fixed by Acer service center, there were software problem in windows itself and they fixed it perfectly without any format, every thing is OK now and the speaker is working great.

I mean, it was a configuration issue, as I mentioned.
    I'm glad you fixed it.

If your JBL Go 3 is connected to your Acer Aspire A514-55G-7116 via Bluetooth but no sound is coming out, try restarting both devices, checking the volume levels on both the speaker and laptop, and ensuring the correct audio output is selected in your laptop's sound settings. If the issue persists, try removing and re-pairing the JBL Go 3, and also consider updating your Bluetooth and audio drivers.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:

    1. Basic Checks:
    Power:
Ensure the JBL Go 3 is powered on and has sufficient battery.
    Bluetooth Connection:
Verify the JBL Go 3 is properly paired and connected to your laptop via Bluetooth in the laptop's Bluetooth settings.
    Volume Levels:
Check the volume on both the JBL Go 3 and your Acer laptop. Make sure the volume isn't muted on either device.
    Audio Playback App:
Try restarting the audio playback application (e.g., music player, streaming service).
    2. Advanced Troubleshooting:
    Remove and Re-pair:
In your laptop's Bluetooth settings, remove the JBL Go 3 from the list of paired devices. Then, turn off Bluetooth on your laptop, turn it back on, and re-pair the speaker.

    Audio Output:
Go to your laptop's sound settings (Control Panel > Sound > Playback).
Make sure the JBL Go 3 is listed and set as the default playback device.
Click on the device, then "Configure" and "Test" to see if sound is produced.
    Troubleshooter:
Use the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter (Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Bluetooth).
    Driver Updates:
Update your Bluetooth drivers: Right-click the Start button, select Device Manager, find Bluetooth, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, and select "Update driver".
Update your audio drivers as well (same process in Device Manager, but under "Sound, video and game controllers").

    Restart:
Restart your computer after updating drivers or making changes to the audio settings.
