Hey @Guitar _player1956 👋 — Based on the behavior you described, it's likely a rogue or corrupted driver is preventing Windows from booting properly. Here’s a fast way to force Advanced Startup Options without relying on outdated key combos:

🛠️ Force Recovery Using 3x Boot Interrupt

    1. Power on your laptop and as soon as you see the Acer logo, hold down the power button to shut it off
    2. Repeat this three times
    3. On the fourth boot, Windows should trigger Advanced Recovery Mode

    From there:

    • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings
    • Choose Safe Mode with Networking
    • Once inside Safe Mode, open Device Manager
    • Look for any suspicious or recently added drivers (especially under Display, Storage, or Bluetooth)
    • Uninstall them, reboot normally

This method bypasses the need for F8 or Shift+F8, which don’t work reliably on newer Acer systems.

Let us know if the system still loops or if you need help identifying which drivers to target. Good luck! 👍

If an Acer Aspire 114-32 laptop gets stuck on the Acer logo during boot, it's likely a boot issue. The first step is a hard reset to clear any temporary glitches. If that doesn't work, try booting into Safe Mode or using the Startup Repair tool. If the problem persists, consider checking for corrupted system files, resetting BIOS/UEFI settings, or scanning for malware.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Hard Reset:
Shut down the laptop completely by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Disconnect the power cable and any other external devices.
    Remove the battery (if possible).
Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
Reconnect the battery and power cable.
    Turn on the laptop.
    2. Boot into Safe Mode:
Turn on the laptop and repeatedly press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
Select "Safe Mode" and press Enter.
If Windows boots in Safe Mode, it indicates a driver or software conflict.
You can then try troubleshooting from there, potentially uninstalling recently installed updates or drivers.
    3. Use Startup Repair:
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try the same process to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu.
    Select "Repair your computer".
Choose "Troubleshoot" then "Advanced options" then "Startup Repair".
Follow the on-screen instructions to run the repair tool.

    4. Check for Corrupted System Files:
If Startup Repair doesn't fix the issue, you can try checking for corrupted system files using the System File Checker (SFC) tool.
Boot into Safe Mode or use the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
    Open Command Prompt as administrator.
Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
Restart the computer after the scan is complete.
    5. Reset BIOS/UEFI Settings:
Restart the laptop and press the BIOS key repeatedly (usually F2 or Delete) to enter the BIOS settings.
Look for an option to "Load Default Settings" or "Reset to Defaults".
Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
