Hi, just to clarify—your thread title suggests the RTX 4050 (discrete GPU) is the cause of the issue, but in your message, it sounds like the system is stable when using the dGPU (RTX 4050), and the crashes may be happening during GPU switching or when the integrated Intel GPU is active. Could you confirm which GPU is in use when the black screen or BSOD occurs?

The RTX 4050 in an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop can sometimes cause a black screen issue, though it's often related to the system's switching between the dedicated GPU (RTX 4050) and the integrated graphics. Problems can also arise from driver conflicts, hardware issues like a faulty screen or loose connections, or even overheating.
    Troubleshooting Steps:-

    1. Check GPU Usage:
Ensure the system is using the RTX 4050 when experiencing the black screen. If it's switching to the integrated graphics, that could be the cause.
    2. Update or Reinstall Drivers:
Outdated or corrupted display drivers can lead to black screen issues. Update to the latest drivers from NVIDIA's website or reinstall them.
    3. Check for Loose Connections:
A loose cable connecting the screen to the motherboard could be the culprit. Try reseating the cable.
    4. Check for Overheating:
Ensure the laptop is well-ventilated and not overheating, as this can also cause display problems.
    5. Try a Different Display:
If possible, connect an external monitor to see if the issue persists, which can help isolate the problem to the laptop's screen or internal components.
    6. Reset BIOS:
Resetting the BIOS can sometimes resolve unexpected issues. You can try the BIOS reset method mentioned in forum posts.
    7. Consider Factory Reset:
If other troubleshooting steps fail, consider a factory reset to restore the laptop to its original state.
