Hello,
My laptop type is Acer Swift Go 16 OLED SFG16-72-97WA.
I bought this docking station for it: https://www.emag.ro/docking-station-10-in-1-type-c-4k-hdm-vga-1080p-3-x-usb-3-0-rj45-gigabit-ethernet-power-delivery-carduri-sd-tf-audio-gri-metalizat-7/pd/D87MRMYBM/#specification-section

The problems I have with the docking station:

  1. It keeps connecting and disconnecting. In the Bluetooth & devices I see it as 3 tabs:
  • Realteck(R) USB GbE Family Controller (Connected to USB 3.0)
  • USB Storage
  • Generic Monitor – this part keeps appearing fast and disappearing (and makes that sound of connecting and disconnecting)
All this happens while there isn’t anything plugged in the docking station. I can send photos and a clip if you need.

I thought it lack power so I put the laptop’s charging cable into one of the usb-c slots. But after that I had problems with charging the laptop during the processes with high demand of resources.
I also tested this docking station my old laptop and it works.
Is there any software that I could download that would fix the problem or should I buy a docking station made by Acer?

  • I found this one in my country - https://www.emag.ro/docking-station-acer-12-in-1-usb-c-hp-dscab-009/pd/DRLC3XMBM/ and from the reviews it seems that the pictures are not accurate and these would be the accurate ones - https://store.acer.com/en-ie/acer-12in1-type-c-dongle-silver-hp-dscab-009
The minimum ports that I need the docking station to have are:
  • 1x RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet
  • 3x usb 3.0 or 3.1
  • 1x usb-C
Also a VGA one would be nice, in case I encounter older displays

Thanks
