Yesterday I could select turbo mode, today it maxes out at performance mode. Why is this?

Hi, Turbo Mode” on the SF16-51 isn’t tied to BIOS or Intel’s Turbo Boost (which is always active by default). It’s part of the performance profiles inside AcerSense—likely among Eco, Balanced, and Turbo. >> If Turbo Mode disappeared:> - Make sure the system is plugged in (it may not show while on battery)> - Reopen or reinstall AcerSense if the profile list isn’t loading> - Check Windows Power Options to ensure you're not in a low-power plan

The feature may temporarily vanish due to updates, sleep/wake glitches, or a battery-saving mode. A quick AcerSense relaunch or reboot often brings it back.

Turbo Mode may disappear on your Acer laptop due to several common factors: the system needs to be plugged in with at least 40–50% battery, and the power mode should be set to Best Performance in Windows settings. If the system is overheating or under heavy load, Turbo may be temporarily disabled to protect components. Additionally, recent BIOS, driver, or Windows updates could reset performance settings. Lastly, if NitroSense is outdated or corrupted, reinstalling the latest version from Acer’s official site can restore Turbo Mode visibility.

The battery is at 80% and Best Performance is selected, I still don't see Turbo.

NitroSense doesn't appear in the applications list for my laptop:

I think this is a non-issue. The documentation says performance is the highest setting for this laptop and when I look at CPU clock speeds with HWiNFO they max at 5GHz.

Turbo mode may be missing from your Acer Swift SF16-51 due to a few reasons, including battery level, power settings, or software glitches within the NitroSense app. Ensure your laptop is plugged in and the battery is sufficiently charged (usually above 50%), and that your power plan is set to "Best Performance". Also, try relaunching or reinstalling the AcerSense app or NitroSense app.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of possible causes and solutions:-
    1. Battery Level and Power Settings:
    Insufficient Battery:
Turbo mode may require a minimum battery level (e.g., above 50% or 60%). Ensure your laptop is plugged in and the battery is adequately charged.
    Power Plan:
Check your Windows Power Plan settings. Ensure it's set to "Best Performance" or a similar setting that prioritizes performance.
    Battery Settings:
Within the Power & Battery settings, ensure there are no restrictions on performance or charging that might be interfering with Turbo mode.
    2. Software and App Issues:
    NitroSense/AcerSense:
The NitroSense or AcerSense app (depending on your model) is responsible for managing Turbo mode. Try relaunching the app or reinstalling it from Acer's website.
    Software Glitches:
Sometimes, a simple reboot or relaunch of the app can resolve temporary glitches.
    BIOS Updates:
In some cases, a BIOS update might be necessary, but ensure you have more information about the update before installing it.
