I am trying to access the advanced BIOS settings (not the advanced tab) on my Acer Aspire A515 56 and cannot figure it out for the life of me. Trying to use it to get rid of Hyper V. My BIOS version is V1.34 and any help would be appreciated.

There is NO such setting as "Hyper V" in the A515-56 bios and there is no means of getting into any additional Advance settings by pressing any keys to unlock the A515-56 bios.

This is the A515-56 Advanced bios

To access advanced BIOS settings on an Acer Aspire A515, you'll typically need to use the Fn+Tab keys while the computer is starting up. If that doesn't work, some Acer models might require you to press the power button while holding these keys, then boot into the BIOS. You can also try accessing the BIOS through the Windows settings, under "Recovery" and then "Advanced startup".

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    1. 1. Try Fn+Tab:Hold down the Fn and Tab keys simultaneously while the computer is powering on, before the Windows logo appears. This is a common method for unlocking advanced BIOS menus
    2. 2. Power Button + Fn+Tab:If the first method doesn't work, try holding the Fn and Tab keys while pressing the power button to turn the computer on. This might trigger a different BIOS unlock process.
    3. 3. BIOS through Windows Settings:You can also try accessing the BIOS through the Windows settings. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings.
    4. 4. Consult Acer's Documentation:If you still can't access the advanced settings, check the Acer website or your specific model's documentation for instructions on accessing the BIOS.

Once you've entered the BIOS, you can navigate through the menus to find the advanced options. Some BIOS versions may have a simple switch or option to toggle between "basic" and "advanced" views.

Hi, Hyper-V is the native virtualization platform built into Windows. Think of it as Microsoft’s own hypervisor — a layer that lets you run virtual machines (VMs) on your PC, each with its own operating system, as if it were a separate computer. Turn it off via Windows Features:
Open Control Panel → Programs and Features → Turn Windows features on or off.
Uncheck: Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform. Click OK and restart your PC.
