If you already did a Hard Reset and the screen has no image and its black, then try using an external monitor with a HDMI cable see if the NVidia gpu is not burnet out. As its common in these gaming laptops like the Nitro 5 AN515-57 for their NVidia gpu to burnt out due a mosfet allowing a large 19v current to burn either the gpu or the vram out, as and if that happens, you can disable the NVidia gpu and use the 11th Gen cpu Intel HD Graphics and your laptop will have an image.

Note; this is a common fault with these gaming laptops. Also try other ram or and if you have 2x ram modules try to boot the laptop with 1x ram module and alternate to see if the ram is faulty or this fault could also be because of a faulty eDP cable and plugs or a faulty screen.

if all the above fails, its best to take your laptop to a technician and get them to fully analyse your laptop so that they can pinpoint the exact fault that your laptop has. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

If you want to try and replace the eDP cable or screen then these are the parts used in the Nitro 5 an515-57 model.

What do you mean again? Have you replace the mainboard before? As a mainboard should not burn out unless you have major adapter and mains power issues.

Also, does the Intel 11th Gen cpu graphics work on your current board, as you can use that as a graphics gpu, but if you want an NVidia gaming gpu then you need to replace the mainboard, but be aware that a new mainboard is expensive and its probably more than what your AN515-57 laptop is selling 2nd hand on eBay, so its much better to buy another laptop then spend $1100 USD on a new board. Search the web for a new board for your laptop if its like cheaper than $500 USD. Good luck.

The laptop worked. I left the laptop on with the power cable with the fans running for 8 hours and when i restarted it worked
