To completely turn off the keyboard light on an Acer Swift 3, you can use the Fn + F9 combination. Pressing and holding the Fn key and repeatedly pressing the F9 key will gradually dim the backlight until it turns off. Alternatively, you can explore Acer's BIOS settings or a specific application from Acer to see if there are permanent disabling options.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    1. Using the Fn + F9 combination:
Press and hold the Fn key.
Press the F9 key. Each press will dim the keyboard backlight.
Continue pressing F9 until the keyboard light turns off completely.
    2. Exploring BIOS and Acer-specific applications:
    BIOS:
You can try accessing the BIOS settings (usually by pressing a specific key like Del or F2 during startup) to see if there are any options related to keyboard backlight.
    Acer applications:
Acer often provides specific software or utilities for customizing laptop features. Look for a utility that might offer control over the keyboard backlight.

It depends on which Swift 3 model you have. There have been a lot of different Swift 3s over the years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx.

Start by using the keyboard shortcut. Press Fn + F9, which should toggle the backlight off instantly.

If that doesn’t work, check your Windows settings. Open Settings > System > Power & Battery, then look for Keyboard Brightness and set it to Off.

Another option is to use Acer Control Center. Search for it in the Windows search bar, open the application, and look for Keyboard Backlight Settings. From there, you can disable the backlight.
