Hello, I have an Acer nitro 16 that was bought on December 2024, and I still have warranty on it. Today I was playing on it as usual, the temperature was fine I had it plugged to the charger and I had no problems until I turned on a game and it suddenly died, now it doesn't register the charger at all no lights or anything and it does not turn on, is there any way to fix this at home without taking the battery out? I really hope it fixes itself or I somehow fix it myself!

If your Acer Nitro 16 won't turn on and doesn't register the charger with no lights, it could be a few things. Try a hard reset, check the charging port for debris, and if those don't work, consider contacting support or a repair shop.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Hard Reset:
Unplug the laptop and disconnect any peripherals.
Locate the battery reset pinhole (usually a small hole labeled with a battery symbol or reset).
Use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds.
Wait a minute, then plug the power adapter back in and try to turn it on.
    2. Check the Charging Port:
Ensure the charging cable is securely plugged into both the laptop and the power outlet.
Inspect the charging port for any visible damage or debris.
Use a flashlight to check for dust or dirt inside the port that might be obstructing the connection.
If there is debris, try gently cleaning it out with a toothpick or cotton swab, but be careful not to damage the port further.
    3. If those steps don't work:
    Try a different power adapter:
If you have access to another compatible Acer power adapter, try using it to rule out a faulty adapter.
Contact support or a repair shop:
If the issue persists, it's best to contact Acer support or take the laptop to a reputable repair shop for further diagnosis and repair. It could be a faulty charging port, battery, or other internal component.

    Important Notes:-
If your laptop is still under warranty, contact Acer support first to explore your warranty options.
Be cautious when attempting to repair the laptop yourself, as it can void the warranty or cause further damage.

Try and do a Soft Reset by holding the power key for 15 seconds and then release the key and allow the laptop to sit for 10 minutes to reset, then press the power key, as your laptop should boot and fire up.

Otherwise and if it doesn't turn on or boot send your laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country, and let them fix this laptop as it could have a frozen or a shorted EC or Chipset chip, or a shorted main power rail, as all these sorts of problems, Acer will not bother to fix as Acer will replace the mainboard with a new board.

Also be aware that parts on these laptops are very expensive and in most cases a new board costs more than what you paid for your laptop, so get all the faults fixes asap by Acer under warranty. Good luck and hope this helps you out further with your problems.

hey thanks for the reply, my laptop does not have a pinhole and even if it did it might affect my warranty,I currently tried everything and it doesn't work. The charger doesn't have any indicator that it works (for example a little LED) so I'm unsure if it's the charger or if my laptop overheated and shut town due to that but even if I'm not sure if it's supposed to be off for such a long time(it's been around 14 hours and still nothing). If it doesn't work till tomorrow I'll try to contact Acer services and see what my options are.
