My Acer Nitro 16 Won't Turn On (Not Even Charging Light)

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me out. I bought an Acer Nitro V 16 last October, and up until now, it’s been working flawlessly. I last used it three days ago without any issues.

Today I tried to turn it on again, but it’s…completely dead. No fans, no lights, nothing. Even more worrying: when I plug in the charger, the blue power/charging LED doesn’t turn on at all. The battery was charged the last time I used it (and I had turned off the laptop), so it should’ve turned on regardless. The fact that it’s not even recognizing the power adapter makes it seem like a serious issue. The laptop hasn’t been dropped, damaged, or mishandled in any way, so I find myself shocked to have it die on me like this.

It just suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I’m really frustrated, especially since it’s still quite new.

Is there anything I can try myself to troubleshoot this, or does it sound like my only option is to take it to a repair shop? Even so, I would really like to understand what could've caused such an issue, and so out of the blue!

Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance! 👏

Hello to you and thank you very much for your answer!
I have tried keeping the power button pressed, but nothing happened (and there is no reset pinhole).
However, in a (for me seriously) shocking turn of events, when I tried again today, not only the laptop turned on, but the charging light did as well. Alive again, all of a sudden. Just like it "died" all of audden.
I have no idea how something like this has been possible. It makes no sense to me. It seemed all completely dead. I would be grateful if someone could provide a possible reason behind what happened. I have since run the internal diagnostic tools and everything (battery included) appear to be in perfect condition. Not knowing what happened (and the possibility it might happen again) is pretty frustrating.

If your laptop won't turn on even when plugged in, the issue could be with the power adapter, the laptop's power jack, or internal components. Try a different power adapter if possible. If that doesn't work, the problem may require professional diagnosis. Reasons for this issue are various, including a bad battery/charger, damaged RAM, static charge buildup on capacitors, dried-up thermal paste, stuck Sleep/Hibernate mode, internal hardware failure, overheating issues, incorrect BIOS settings, and some software issues.
