    1. Check for Fn Key Combinations. It is possible you accidentally disabled your touchpad by pressing this combination on your computer.

    2. Check your touchpad Disable Button.
    3. If your touchpad isn’t working, there is a chance it was disabled through your motherboard.
    4. Uninstall Mouse Drivers.

If the touchpad on your Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73) is not working, start by restarting your laptop, checking the touchpad settings, and updating or reinstalling the touchpad drivers. If the issue persists, consider enabling the touchpad in Windows settings, checking BIOS settings, or performing a hard reset.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-
    1. Restart Your Computer: A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches that might be affecting the touchpad.
    2. Check Touchpad Settings:
    Enable Touchpad:
Press the Windows key, type "Touchpad," and select "Touchpad settings." Ensure the touchpad is toggled "On".
    Check Additional Settings:
Look for options to adjust touchpad sensitivity, scrolling direction, and other customizations. Incorrect settings can sometimes cause the touchpad to appear unresponsive.
    3. Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
    Update Drivers:
Go to Device Manager (search for it in the Start Menu), locate "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click on your touchpad device, and select "Update driver." Choose "Search automatically for drivers".
    Reinstall Drivers:
If updating doesn't work, you can try uninstalling the driver (right-click, select "Uninstall device") and then restarting your computer. Windows will automatically attempt to reinstall the driver.

    4. Check BIOS/UEFI Settings:
Some systems have touchpad settings within the BIOS/UEFI. Consult your laptop's manual or Acer's website for instructions on how to access and adjust these settings.
    5. Hard Reset:
    Power off your laptop.
Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to force a complete shutdown.
    Turn the laptop back on.
    6. Check for Physical Damage:
If the touchpad still doesn't work, inspect it for any physical damage or debris that might be interfering with its functionality.
