Output HDMI runs okay but no signal on VGA output I would guess the graphics card is ill. Can I replace this card, and with what from acer?

I had dual screens on this unit. Loved the flexibility and performance. Now I can run only the HDMI. Small footprint computer. Great performance. Need help to solve.

Those ports are both directly off the motherboard and should work independently of each other. There's a driver chip on the motherboard between the CPU and the VGA port:

but if it is bad it's likely cheaper to find a used motherboard than to try and repair. I assume you've done the obvious, tested the monitor on another machine and the cable as well? It's really pretty hard to get a motherboard component to fail without something else showing up. Have you had recent lightning strikes in your area, or power glitches?

@billsey Hi, i was googling PCI-E configuration of XC-830 motherboard and this post is closest to my answer, could you please check that document you made cut from (to answer Mike's question), and tell me what is PCI-E lines distribution on this board, I'm maily interested in M.2 and PCI-E x16 slot configuration(1x,2x or 4x)

It's a little hard to see, but here's the full block diagram:

Thank you very much, this is excatly what i was looking for. I'm glad to see that x16 slot is at least x2, but little bit dissapointed that M.2 is only x1, even though this cpu line support x2 configuration on that port (it's bit strange that diagram says Port 2,3 when they use only one of them(probably Port 2))
