Hi, i have this laptop with dead display so i was thinking about making home server out of it since it got still decent cpu (i5 7th gen), but im not sure what my options for storage are. Ideally i was thinking about getting 4-6x 3.5" SATA drives but what would be the best way to connect them to laptop? so far it seems to me like easiest would be usb das? from what i read usb is not very reliable though, but is there any other option? any way to use this port in image that's supposed to be used for 2.5" SATA drive? any tips would be welcome, thanks

ps usage is mostly gonna be for storing movies/shows, so i dont care about raid/backups too much, important data i would just keep copy on 2 or 3 drives

also i got even older desktop pc (first gen i5), should i use that one as data storage and connect it to laptop server instead?
