Yes, it's possible to update the BIOS of your Acer Aspire 4736G to a newer version, though it's not a direct "legacy to BIOS" update in the sense of a firmware change. You're likely referring to updating the BIOS firmware to the latest version available from Acer. This can be done to improve performance, stability, or add new features.
Here's how to approach updating your BIOS:

    1. Identify your current BIOS version:
You can find this in the BIOS settings (usually accessed by pressing F2 or Delete when the computer starts). Look for something like "BIOS Version" or "BIOS Revision".
    2. Find the latest BIOS update for your model:
Visit the Acer support website and download the BIOS update file for your Acer Aspire 4736G, specifically the version that is newer than what you currently have.
    3. Prepare for the update:
Ensure you have a stable power supply (plugged into the AC adapter) and that your computer is not running low on battery. Also, it's recommended to back up any important data before updating the BIOS, as it can sometimes cause unexpected issues.
    4. Follow the instructions for flashing the BIOS:
The instructions will vary depending on the update method provided by Acer. They may involve using a USB flash drive, a BIOS update utility, or other methods. Carefully follow the instructions to avoid bricking your laptop.
    5. Verify the update:
After the BIOS update is complete, restart your computer and check the BIOS version again to ensure it has been updated correctly.
      Important notes:
      Do not interrupt the update:
If the power goes out during the update, it can damage your computer's BIOS.
Consult the Acer documentation for specific instructions:
The instructions may be slightly different for your specific model and BIOS update.
If you have any doubts, seek professional help:
If you're not comfortable flashing the BIOS yourself, it's best to seek assistance from a qualified technician.
