How to fix command keys?

Hello!

I've been dealing with this problem on and off, and recently, the command keys (on either side of my keyboard) aren't working. I've tried updating, restarting, pressing random combinations on my keyboard, but none of those options seem to work, does anyone know how to make them work again?

Thank you so much!

To fix command key issues, you can start by trying basic troubleshooting steps like restarting your computer and checking for any recent software updates or conflicting software. If the problem persists, you can further investigate by looking into keyboard settings, modifier keys, or potentially using software tools to remap or reassign keys.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Basic Troubleshooting:
      Restart your computer:
A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches that might be affecting keyboard functionality.
      Check for updates:
Ensure your operating system and drivers are up-to-date, as updates can include bug fixes related to keyboard issues.
      Check for conflicting software:
Certain software, especially third-party keyboard utilities, might interfere with the command key functionality. Try disabling or uninstalling any such software to see if it resolves the problem.
    2. Investigating Keyboard Settings:
      Check keyboard layout:
Ensure your keyboard layout is set correctly. If you're using a keyboard layout other than your default, it might cause issues with command key shortcuts.
      Review modifier keys:
On macOS, you can check and potentially reassign the modifier keys (like Command, Option, Control) to see if they're functioning as expected.
      Reset keyboard settings:
You can try resetting your keyboard settings to their default values to see if that resolves the problem.
    3. Advanced Troubleshooting:
      Check for hardware issues:
If the command key is physically damaged or malfunctioning, you might need to replace the keyboard.
      Use software tools for remapping:
Some software tools allow you to remap or reassign keys, which can be helpful if you need to customize keyboard shortcuts.
      Consult with technical support:
If you've tried all the above steps and the problem persists, you may need to consult with technical support for your operating system or hardware manufacturer.
