hello as i said, the screen freeze when closing a game and its going to use the integated amd graphic card.

I can solve this by restarting the graphic card by Shift + ctrl + windows + B key or by closing the led and open it.

Nvidia driver is up to date, and so is windows and BIOS.

Its a fairly new laptop so its kinda frustating.

Hope someone can help;)

Hi, try uninstalling the Nvidia dGPU driver in Safe Mode with DDU, don't reinstall the driver but let Windows find the compatible dGPU driver that will show in Optional updates when you reboot and "Check for updates" in Windows.

The Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 freezing when switching from RTX 4070 to AMD graphics is often due to driver conflicts or incorrect settings. To fix this, update your NVIDIA and AMD graphics drivers, ensure that the system is not overheating, and try switching between graphics cards using Acer's Nitro Sense.
    Troubleshooting Steps:-

    1. Update Drivers:
Visit Acer's support website and download the latest NVIDIA and AMD drivers for your specific laptop model.
Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely uninstall existing drivers before installing the new ones.
    2. Check for Overheating:
Monitor your laptop's CPU and GPU temperatures while running games or switching between graphics cards.
Ensure that the laptop is on a hard surface and that the vents are not blocked.
Consider using a laptop cooling pad if necessary.
    3. Configure Graphics Card Settings:
In the NVIDIA Control Panel, set the default graphics processor for applications to the RTX 4070.
In Acer Nitro Sense, make sure the graphics card mode is set to "NVIDIA" or "Dedicated".
Also, check if there are any conflicts between the NVIDIA and AMD drivers that might be causing the issue.
    4. Other Troubleshooting:
Close unnecessary background processes and applications.
Try lowering the graphics settings in your games.
If the freezing persists, try resetting the laptop to factory settings.
If you still have issues, consider reaching out to Acer's support team
