hi, I have problem with updating my Nitro-5 acer, it somehow someway always scares me when I'm upgrading it, I always get a blue screen and not only sometimes it just keeps crashing AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN until I reset the whole thing. I have done this process 8 times in just 8 months. also, when I'm upgrading not only my windows but i have the issues occurring when I'm updating my G-force experience.

Every time there is Un update to do I just sit there praying that it doesn't crash so I don't have to restart the whole thing again.

my games have FPS problems because of that. so, I came here after spending hours of search with nothing useful for a solution.

This looks like the Nitro 5 AN515 57 2021 model? There was only 1 Windows11 upgrade last year to version 24H2 and if that upgrade gives problems you can run the Windows Update Troubleshooter, there may be bad driver. The latest BIOS Acer released was in 2023 and I recommend waiting for a BIOS update before upgrading to Windows11 24H2, either stay with Windows11 23H2 or reinstall it with a USB drive and ISO file.

Yes, this must be a common thing with some Acer Nitro 5 11th Gen and either with the GTX1650 and the RTX-3050 gpu laptops, as its happening to my Nitro 5 AN515-56 but only with the RTX-3050 NVidia game ready drivers update through the GeForce app or as a standalone update, but its not happening like your Nitro 5 within Windows Update, is that correct, is that what is also happening to your Nitro.?

I suggest that you make sure that you have the last bios version installed and the firmware that "Update Nvidia discrete VGA VBIOS and improve performance" supplied by Acer for your laptop, as that is a crucial update to do, then also make sure that Win-11 24H2 is installed and updated to its last OS build: 26100.4202 as that is important also, as that is what my Nitro has.

Btw, what is happening when I get a BSOD is through the NVidia graphics update, when the driver gets updated through either the GeForce Experience app or even when I download the new driver as every time it updates I get a BSOD blue screen half way through the installation process even though I do a clean install of the new graphics driver that deletes the previous driver, but after the laptop reboots from the BSOD the new NVidia game ready driver version is installed, and is shown in Device Manager > Display adapters section, which is very strange, so if the same thing is happening to your Nitro, then check Device Manager > Display adapters after the BSOD and see if the drivers are installed. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
