Hello. I have a few days Predator Helios PH16-71-97PT 16" 240Hz i9-13900HX 16GB RAM 1TB SSD GeForce RTX4080. When I connect speakers via jack connector, a single crackling sound comes out of the speakers from time to time. When I disconnect the charger from the laptop, it is better or there are no problems with the sound. When I connect it again, the problems with the crackling sound appear again. Please help. I have updated all drivers and BIOS 1.16.

Go to device manager and Under the option of audio inputs and Outputs find Speaker Drive

Uninstall the driver and restart your PC. If the issue persists:

    • Right-click on the device in Device Manager and select "Update driver." Restart your PC to see if the problem is resolved.
    • If updating doesn't work, click "Update driver" again, then choose "Browse my computer for drivers."
    • Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer." At the bottom, you'll see multiple driver options.
    • Choose a different driver from the default selection and apply it. This may help resolve the issue.

    Check Your Power Setup

Try a different wall outlet—sometimes a faulty one can mess with your audio.

If your charger has a removable plug, swap it for a grounded version.

Consider using a high-quality surge protector to keep the power flow stable

    Adjust Audio Settings

Right-click on the speaker icon → Sound settingsPlayback devices.

Select your speakers, click Properties, then go to Advanced.

Lower the sample rate (e.g., switch to 48kHz instead of 96kHz) to reduce interference.

    Disable Audio Enhancements

While still in Playback devices, open Properties → Enhancements.

Turn off all enhancements (like Bass Boost and Surround Sound).

Restart your laptop to see if that fixes the issue

    Test with Other Audio Devices

Plug in a different set of headphones or speakers via the jack.

If these work without crackling, your original speakers might be at fault.

    Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

Open Device Manager → Find Sound, video, and game controllers.

Right-click your audio device → Update driverSearch automatically.

If that doesn’t help, roll back the driver or reinstall it.

    Check BIOS Power Settings

Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (usually by pressing F2 on boot).

Look for power-related settings and disable unnecessary power-saving features.

    Consider an External Audio Adapter

If the issue persists, try a USB sound card or DAC.

These devices bypass the internal sound system and can eliminate interference.

Thank you! I will do everything from that list :) I'll let you know :)

PS. But sometimes when I plug Arctic Nova 7P headphones via USB-C, I can sometimes hear a crackling sound as well. I need to replug and cracks disappears. Strange…

The current USB-C port of your laptop is, therefore, taking care of a dual role—it is responsible both for charging and receiving the audio from your headset-and creates the mentioned interference. As soon as you connect your Predator Helios PH16-71, power delivery dominates, therefore possibly causing a temporary disruption in the audio signal. Additionally, your high-performance components such as the RTX 4080 and i9-13900HX are producing a huge amount of electrical noise, some of which leak into the audio signal and create the crackling phenomenon.
To resolve this, try this first: use the other USB-C port, if your laptop has one. Charging on one, and audio on the other, could stop the problem from happening. If you do not have another port, consider connecting the headset through a powered USB hub that isolates it from power interference. Another way could be just to try an adapter: plug the headset into a USB-A to USB-C adapter; the signal might run along different paths, thus avoiding the crackling.
If none of them resolve the problem, you could also try tweaking power-related settings and power-performance profiles. Open PredatorSense and switch from Extreme to Balanced mode, because in extreme mode-it pushes maximum performance at the cost of increased power draw, potentially affecting USB connection stability. And ensure that your laptop is plugged into an outlet that is properly grounded or in a surge protector: because bad grounding can cause all sorts of electrical interference.

Sometimes a USB-C device is connected to the port, and the audio driver is not initialized properly. Like a situation where a device is not recognized properly by the OS and needs a little push to do so, unplugging and replugging the headset forces a fresh recognition, which usually solves the problem.
Power delivery fluctuation is another culprit. Your USB-C port is doing double duty by charging your laptop while also transferring data. A slight shift in power output-as small as that, even while charging-may send a disruption through the audio temporarily. Replugging restores the connection and stabilizes the signal.

There are a few causes behind speaker buzzing and crackling, but it's mostly about the connection between your output device and speaker. Cables, amplifier issues, loose connections, damaged internal components, or excessively loud volumes can all cause this.
Unplug and Replug the Crackling Device: Unplugging and replugging your device can eliminate the possibility of temporary failure caused by one-time interference. If your device starts working again after replugging, you should check your audio jack for corrosion, blockage, and wear.
