Hey, so I’ve been having this really weird issue with my Acer Nitro ANV15-51. The GPU fan randomly starts running at full speed even when the laptop is basically idle. Like, I’ll just be sitting there with nothing open except NitroSense, and suddenly the GPU fan kicks in like a jet engine, then slows down, then speeds up again, then quiets down and it just keeps doing that on and off for like an hour. What’s strange is that the temperatures are totally normal when this happens, and the GPU itself isn’t even active or being used.

There’s nothing heavy running in the background either. It’s super distracting and doesn’t make sense considering there’s no reason for the GPU fan to be acting like that. I bought this laptop around 10months ago and I barely use it just once or twice a week for a few hours each time, mainly for college projects using stuff like Django and other Python tools. I only gamed on it once, like seven months ago, and there aren’t even any games installed anymore. All I’ve got on here is Microsoft Edge and some development-related packages. I’m just trying to figure out what’s causing this because the fan behaviour doesn’t match what the laptop is actually doing. I've also tried resetting the laptop and even did an Embedded Controller reset still it's not working. If anyone’s experienced something similar or knows what might be going on, I’d really appreciate the help.

This should not be happening to your 10 months old Nitro ANV15-51 laptop, your laptop is still under the Acer 12 months warranty, I suggest that you book a service call with the Acer Tech Support in your country and send this laptop back to Acer so that they can fix this issue, as your mainboards cpu temp sensor could be faulty and Acer will change the mainboard for a new board. Don't let the warranty expire for your ANV15-51 laptop, as a new mainboard for these laptops is very expensive and the repairs and replacement of the board, could cost you allot more than buying a new ANV15-51 model laptop. good luck and hope this helps you out.

High CPU usage: Resource-intensive tasks can cause your laptop to heat up quickly. Software issues: Malware, malicious software, or outdated drivers can cause your laptop to work harder than necessary. Hardware problems: A malfunctioning fan or other internal components can lead to increased noise.
If you notice the computer fan running constantly and making an abnormal or loud noise, this might indicate that the computer is not running as efficiently as possible, and/or clogged air vents. It is important to keep dust from accumulating in your computer and ensure adequate ventilation to help reduce heat.
