Could you please take a picture of your keyboard? Some AN515-57 models have the red backlight keyboard only.

Open the regedit, go to this location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\NitroSense

Change the RGB_Keyboard_Support value data to 1.

Also and if in future this happens again, check the connection of and at the Keyboard backlight FFC (D) cable and at the Keyboard FPC (F) cable if these cables haven't come lose or are faulty and need replacing.

If these cables are not faulty, then your keyboard is faulty and needs replacing. In this laptop you can't just replace the keyboard as it comes as a sealed unit with the upper case. So this some additonal info for you. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

If your Acer laptop's keyboard backlight isn't working, try pressing the FN key along with F9, F10, or the right arrow key. If that doesn't work, you might need to check the BIOS settings or update your keyboard drivers.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Check for the Backlight Key:
Fn Key: Look for the Fn key on your keyboard, usually located at the bottom left near the Ctrl key.
Backlight Key: The backlight key is often labeled with a keyboard illumination icon or a key like F9, F10, or the right arrow key.
Press the combination: Press the Fn key and the backlight key simultaneously.
    2. Check BIOS Settings:
Restart your laptop: Press the F2 key repeatedly while the laptop is starting up to enter the BIOS settings.
Navigate to keyboard settings: Look for an option related to keyboard backlight or display settings.
Enable the backlight: If you find a backlight setting, ensure it's enabled.
    3. Update Keyboard Drivers:
Open Device Manager: Search for "Device Manager" in the Windows search bar.
Expand Keyboards: Locate and expand the "Keyboards" section.
Update driver: Right-click on your keyboard driver and select "Update driver software".
Automatic search: Choose "Search automatically for drivers" or browse for drivers if you have them.
Restart: Restart your computer after updating the drivers.
    4. Other Troubleshooting Steps:
      Reset the internal battery:
Shut down your laptop, locate the reset button (usually on the bottom), and press it with a paperclip for 15 seconds.
