Acer Nitro 16 backlight won't save effects or global color, only area color works

I just got my Acer Nitro 16 and wanted to change the color of the keyboard light. It worked the first day, but now when I try, it only lets me change the area colors. If I want to change the effect or global color in Nitro Sense, the buttons are not responsive (for the effects) or don't do anything when changed (for the global color). I looked it up and found that Windows could be blocking it with its own tool, but that doesn't work either- nothing happens when I try to adjust the lights there as well. I tried every possible setting both in Windows 11 and Nitro Sense but the only thing that seems to work is changing the area colors. Interestingly that works only until I turn the computer off, after reboot it is stuck on the breathing effect with yellow color and has to be changed manually again. I also found a script that should have fixed the issue on the internet but that didn't work for me either. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be endlessly grateful because it is really annoying. Thanks.

Hi, I'm also having this issue - I have to manually run the Nitro app, switch to RGB zones and then I have any way of choosing what color my keyboard is. It reverts to pulsating orange after restart. I'm running 1.25 bios version, latest drivers on Windows 11.
