Hello,

Could you help me to find bios ver.1.04 for the P614-51T, I don't see it on the site. I read that bios update will fix the issue for the laptop
My current bios version is 1.01

Hi, there is no longer BIOS versions available for this Windows10 laptop on Acer Support, try BIOS version 1.04 from this 3rd party site:
Acer TravelMate P614-51T Notebooks & Tablet PCs > Downloads Drivers, Utilities, Manual and BIOS

Thanks for that, I've tried it, but I haven't succeeded. The issue here that my laptop has AMI bios, but the archive contains Insyde Software bios (as far as I see), so when I'm trying to run the H2OFFT flasher it says: "This platform does not support IHISI interface". So, I'm curious, can I use AFUWINGUI software to flash bios from the arhcive? With this tool I successfully made a backup of current bios.

On these laptops that run hot, I would suggest that you change the fan as there could be something wrong with the fan or the oem Acer thermal paste is not applied correctly. Use the higher grade liquid metal (I suggest that you use the Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal) as liquid metal is at least a 70% better insulating paste then normal paste and will keep temps down allot more than normal paste on your Travelmate P614-51T. Good luck and hope this assists you further

Note: with liquid metal paste, only apply a very thin layer and not a thick layer like with ordinary pastes, and for the most efficient cooling, change the liquid metal paste every 6 months for ultimate heat dispersion off the cpu in your laptop.

OEM Acer fan for the Travelmate P614-51T laptop.

The issue is not with the thermal paste or fan, because temperature under load is around 70-80C and fan is low, but when remove the load, the fan becomes high, and temperature of CPU goes down to 40C.
It looks like the thermal trip points were poorly configured and to fix it I need a new bios. I've tried to modify the bios and write it with a programmer, but the laptop rebooted cyclically (It seems that it has the protection and compares the hash to check whether the bios is untouched) so I had to return the original firmware
