Acer Aspire ES1-523 Soldered BIOS Battery

I believe I need to replace the BIOS battery in a couple of Acer laptops. Orange light flashes about once per second. Measured 0v initially and charged slowly to above 1v overnight. Battery is soldered to the back of the motherboard. Unsoldered it and read the writing on the down side. Says rechargeable. Soldered it back into place. Bought this one secondhand and as not working. Repair and reuse is the best bit of recycling :-) . I have another unit with the same issue and the battery is swelling slightly.

Can anyone tell me what type of battery I should replace it with please?

Thanks, newbie Dave

These are the Acer listed batteries for the Aspire ES1-523 model. Good luck and hope this helps you out, but try to get a non copy genuine Acer battery if you can still get them, as the copy batteries are not of good quality.

    ES1-523 Acer listed oem batteries.

ES1-523 CMOS Battery that is a CR2032 type battery and its not soldered onto the board.
