Some additional information for you, as your Veriton M4660G desktop has a 1x 2280/2242 size PCIe 3 x4 lane drive and one of the most reliable and top performing and well supported software 2280 M.2 SSD drives, is the Samsung 970 EVO Plus V-NAD SSD drive (I've been using this drive for over 3 years and its never missed a beat) so consider upgrading to this drive. Also look at this Tom's Hardware "SSD Benchmarks Hierarchy 2025 tests" as they tested this drive also and give it a good review, I suggest that you don't upgrade to a Gen 4 M.2 also as its a waste of your money, as you will not get any performance benefits from a Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD drive when fitted to a Gen 3 x4 lane into the Veriton M.2 slot. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
