If your charger shows a charging symbol but the battery percentage isn't increasing, it could be due to several factors, including a faulty cable, a dirty charging port, a weak charger, background apps draining power, software glitches, or an aging battery.
Here's a breakdown of potential causes and troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check the Charging Cable and Port:
Faulty Cable: Try a different charging cable to rule out a cable issue.
Dirty Port: Inspect the charging port on your device for debris and clean it with a soft brush or compressed air.
Loose Connection: Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the charger and your device.
    2. Power Source and Charger:
Weak Charger: Try a different charger with the correct power output for your device.
Power Source: Make sure the power outlet is working properly.
Charger Issues: If the charger is old or damaged, it might not be able to provide enough power to charge your device.
    3. Background Apps and Software:
Background Apps: Close any unnecessary apps that are running in the background, as they can drain the battery.
Software Bugs: Ensure your device's software is up to date and try restarting it.
Optimize Settings: Disable features like GPS and Bluetooth when possible during charging.
    4. Battery Issues:
      Worn-Out Battery:
If the battery is old, it might not be able to hold a charge effectively. Consider getting the battery replaced.
      Battery Health:
Check your device's battery health settings to see if there are any issues.
    5. Other Factors:
      Extreme Temperatures:
Avoid charging your device in extreme temperatures, as this can affect battery performance.
      Power Management Settings:
Check your device's power management settings to see if there are any limitations on charging.

Hi, unplug the adapter, turn off the laptop and stick a pin in that small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign), till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. This will reset the battery. Don't use a USB-C charger but the original barrel plug power adapter that came with the laptop. Tell us the full Swift3 model you have and what version of Windows you have installed (Windows11 24H2?)

Hi, the latest BIOS version 1.09 is from 2021/04/09 and I wonder if Windows11 version 24H2 is bit too advanced for this 2020 model but the 11th Gen CPU is on the approved MS list for 24H2. Give the reset pinhole a try and also reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and F10 to save changes. If still charging issues consider reinstalling Windows11 23H2 Pro and wait for a new BIOS version. Don't use a USB-C charger but the original barrel plug power adapter that came with the laptop.
