hi,

i wish to uninstall fully ACER QUICK ACESS and ACER CARE CENTER.

By fully i mean :

  • the files from program files..etc ans system32
  • the services
  • the processes or autorstart thing
  • the error in windows event log

I went to system application and click the uninstall button for both and the apps was fine removed from the list. i restard my computer and check the windows event log, check the system services and process….😪

But, Services remains on the system ! (services.msc , task process ).

Why ? Why uninstalling this software won't remove the services too ?

I performed such actions with admin full right profile, so i don't understand why there's still someting install with this crapware/bloatware ? (i named it like that because they don't self-uninstall properly)

Best regards

Acer Quick Access and Acer Care Center are tools that enhance user convenience. Quick Access lets you manage hardware features like BlueLight Shield and USB charging easily. Care Center provides system diagnostics, driver updates, recovery tools, and performance tuning. They're useful for non-tech-savvy users, offering quick access to maintenance tasks. However, advanced users may find them redundant or resource-heavy and prefer to uninstall them for better system performance.

If you want to automate the uninstall or deep clean, use tools like Revo Uninstaller or BCUninstaller can do a more aggressive job than Windows’ built-in uninstaller.

If you have already removed it from Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, and uninstall, delete Leftover Services like AcerCAgentService, Acer Care Center, or Acer Quick Access Service can remain.
    Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
    Run: cmd
    sc delete AcerCAgentService
    sc delete Acer Care Center
    sc delete QAAdminAgent
    sc delete AcerQuickAccessService
Replace service names based on what's still listed in services.msc. You can get the exact name there.

Disable/Delete Scheduled Tasks, Acer sometimes installs scheduled tasks for updates or background monitoring. Use Task Scheduler. Press Windows + S, type Task Scheduler, and open it.
Check under: Task Scheduler Library > Acer, Task Scheduler Library > CareCenter
Right-click and Delete any remaining Acer-related tasks.

    Delete Leftover Folders
Some files may remain under Program Files or ProgramData. Delete these folders if they exist:
    C:\Program Files\Acer
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Acer
    C:\ProgramData\Acer
    C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Acer
    C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Acer
ProgramData is a hidden folder. You can paste the path directly into the File Explorer bar.

Registry Cleanup Optional & Advanced.Only do this if you're comfortable editing the registry.
Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
Search (Ctrl + F) for: Acer Quick Access, Acer Care Center, AcerCAgentService, QAAdminAgent
Right-click and delete relevant keys or values. Be very careful—make a backup (File > Export) of the registry before editing.

After all removals, restart to ensure services are cleared from memory and not respawned.
Open services.msc — confirm no Acer services remain. Open Task Manager > Startup tab — ensure no Acer programs are set to launch. Open Event Viewer — confirm no new logs from Acer... services.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Reinstall both software programs. Next, download and install Revo Uninstaller (free version). Use this application to uninstall both programs one by one. Revo Uninstaller not only removes the main application but also scans for and deletes leftover files, folders, and registry entries. Follow the prompts carefully: after the scan, select all detected items and delete them to ensure a thorough uninstallation.

Hi, removing Acer Care Center etc. from a 2024 Acer laptop is useless as Windows Update will just reinstall the Acer apps again, the only way is a Clean Install of Windows that I don't recommend. You can try to disable (not uninstall) the Acer firmware in Device Manager-Software Components but it will probably be enabled again after you reboot. Also tinkering with the Windows registry is futile as Windows security will reset it again, just ignore the Acer programs, don't use it, possible Event View errors should eventually stop. Personally I would not use Revo Uninstaller, BCUninstaller, CCleaner and the like as these programs can play havoc in the registry and you will never get rid of the bloatware, better just keep the Acer programs. 😉

i know, when i create a new user (local user), the software (even the ones from microsoft like Teams, OneDrive) reppears in the new user profile…

I needed to completly remove them because i use the computer in national examen software, and nothing should have priority over the exam software. As Acer software have hightpriority, they can "awake" to self-update during a test examen !!! That why i need to uninstall them.

    Imagine you have a auto-update-install during a banking operation…. not recommanded !

Moreover, ACER software does not have a feature to disable the update, neither the windows log event…

Hi, consider a dual boot setup or creating a virtual drive with a Clean Windows OS , your 2023 OEM Windows license from Acer is only valid for 1 PC so you may have to buy a Windows11 license for the 2nd drive ($$$). Alternatively disable Windows Networking, not Airplane mode but disconnect Wi-Fi.
