Hi, try pressing F7 or Fn+F7. For PHN16-71 that is the F10 key.

If your mouse cursor does not move when you touch the touchpad, it may be disabled. To enable it, press and hold the Fn key, then press F6 or F7 (whichever has the touchpad icon) to toggle it on. Additionally, you can check Windows Settings by navigating to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensuring the touchpad is enabled

    Thank you for your answer.

On my Aspire 315, F6 has a brightness icon and doesn't enable the touchpad. Pressing F7 asks me If I want to turn caret browsing on.

My touchpad is enabled in Windows 11 but the touchpad is still not working.

I run Linux most of the time but this looks like a hardware problem. That includes just knowing what key combination will enable my touchpad. As I mentioned in another thread, my model # is A316-24PT-R4U2.
