Hi, if you have Windows installed use the Edge browser as that is integrated in the OS and will work flawlessly with your touchpad gestures.

If you're having trouble scrolling up and down in a web browser, it could be due to a few things: a stuck key, a mouse issue, or a problem with browser extensions or settings.
    Here's how to troubleshoot:-

    1. Check for a Stuck Key:
Test your keyboard: Try typing in a text editor or other application to see if the issue is limited to the browser or affects other areas of your computer.
Look for a sticky key: A stuck Tab key can sometimes cause unexpected scrolling.
Check for a "Scroll Lock" key: If your keyboard has a "Scroll Lock" key, make sure it's not enabled.
    2. Inspect your Mouse/Trackpad:
Clean the scroll wheel: Dust and debris can interfere with the mouse's scroll wheel.
Try a different mouse: If possible, try a different mouse or touchpad to see if the problem lies with your current input device.
Update mouse drivers: Outdated drivers can sometimes cause scrolling issues.
Check mouse settings: Some mice have settings that can affect scrolling, such as the "scroll sensitivity".
    3. Investigate Browser Extensions:
Disable extensions: Temporarily disable all browser extensions and see if the scrolling problem disappears. If it does, enable extensions one by one to identify the culprit.
Update extensions: Make sure your browser extensions are up to date.
    4. Check Browser Settings:
      Accessibility settings:
Some browsers have accessibility settings that can interfere with scrolling. For example, in Chrome, you can check "Navigate pages with a text cursor" in settings.
      Smooth scrolling:
Some browsers have a "smooth scrolling" option. Try disabling it to see if that helps.

How are you trying to scroll? Obviously on a Chromebook you won't be running a browser other than Chrome, but you could be scrolling with the touchpad, a touchscreen, cursor keys or a mouse. Without knowing just which Chromebook you have and what you are attempting to scroll with, we can't do much more than the listed suggestions.
